Magnets 🧲

In science we carried out an investigation to see which magnet was the strongest.

First we learnt about magnetism and that magnets have a north and South Pole.

We had three different magnets. A bar magnet, horseshoe magnet and a wand magnet. Then we made a prediction of which magnet we thought was the strongest by looking at them.

Next, in small groups we used each magnet one at a time to see how many paper clips they would attract.

We discovered that the wand magnet was the strongest magnet as it had the strongest magnetic force that attracted more paper clips.
